‏According to reports, Manchester City will join the competition to sign Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig next summer. A number of European powerhouses are rumoured to be interested in the player.
‏Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, who are reported to be fans of the Spain international, will compete with the Blues, claims Fichajes. According to the source, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester United are also keeping an eye on his position.
‏Olmo has scored 18 goals and provided 21 assists in 102 Leipzig appearances since joining from Dinamo Zagreb in 2020. His contract in Germany expires in June 2024.
The 24-year-old has played 24 times for Spain, contributing four goals and six assists. Depending on what happens with Bernardo Silva, City’s decision to pursue Olmo may or may not be affected.
Raheem Sterling was offered to Real Madrid by City, according to another AS report, before the English international joined Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer.
Sterling, according to the source, was one of Madrid’s top targets, but Los Blancos were unable to sign him since their non-EU quota had already been met.
The 27-year-old played for City at the Etihad for 339 games, scoring 131 goals during that time. At Stamford Bridge, Graham Potter took over for Thomas Tuchel after the German coach was fired.
In 16 games for the London club so far this season, Sterling has tallied four goals and two assists, although he has not yet faced his previous team.
