Manchester City blows up Haaland’s relationship with Real Madrid

Manchester City responded to the recent news that Norwegian striker Erling Haaland was linked to Real Madrid through an exceptional clause in his contract with the English club.

Haaland joined Manchester City last summer from Borussia Dortmund, in exchange for paying the penalty clause of 60 million euros.

According to the famous Spanish “El Chiringuito” program, Halland signed a contract with City until the summer of 2027, but he has a penalty clause to leave in the summer of 2024.

He added that Halland had put a clause in his contract with City that would allow him to move to Real Madrid in the future at a lower price.

According to Sky Sports, “Manchester City denied the existence of any clause related to Real Madrid in Erling Haaland’s contract.”

Halland recently managed to lead Manchester City to victory over his neighbor United in the derby 6-3, scoring 3 goals (hat-trick), to raise his score to 14 goals in his first 8 matches in the Premier League.>
