Sevilla 1-1 Valencia: Bono is the hero in a chaotic encounter

Sevilla escaped a defeat when they hosted Valencia in their match at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjón Stadium in match week 10 of LaLiga Santander, in a game ended with 1-1 draw.

The game, played on Tuesday evening, ended with a positive draw for each team, earning a point each, leaving Valencia in the eighth place with 15 points, while Sevilla jumped to 11th place with 10 points.

Edinson Cavani opened the scoring for Los che in the 5th minute scoring three goals in five games for Valencia in LaLiga, one more than in 15 for Manchester United in the Premier League last season (two).

The hosts equalized through Eric Lamela in the 85th minute, before the final minutes saw great excitement. After the equalizer, Sevilla’s Kiki Silas was sent off in the 90 + 10th minutes, and then the referee granted the visitors a penalty in 90 + 12 minutes, but the shoot was wasted by Valencia’s Luis Gaya, After Moroccan goalkeeper Yassin Bono saved the day for the hosts from a certain defeat in a match that reached 102 minutes.

Sevilla have failed to win any of their opening five home games of a LaLiga season for only the second time ever (3 draws and 2 losses), after 1996/97 with José Antonio Camacho as manager (1 draw and 4 losses).

The Andalusian club haven’t lost any of their last seven clashes with Valencia in LaLiga Santander (W4 D3) registering their best run without losing against Los che in the competition.
