Real Valladolid 4-1 Celta: Rain of goals in Zorrilla as Aspas failed from spot kick.

The visitors had more chances, but they failed to convert, as Iago Aspas missed a penalty, saved by Masip.

Real Valladolid secured their biggest victory in the La Liga Championship during the current season, winning (4-1) against Celta Vigo on Wednesday in match week 10 of LaLiga Santander

Valladolid smiles after winning a game that, at times, was put very uphill and with the feeling of being inferior to a Celta who had 10 fabulous minutes in the beginning of the second half, but could not convert their chances into goals, while the hosts shone in the last half hour to beat the visitors.

It was the hosts second victory in its last four games to move their point tally up to 11 points in 11th place, while Celta Vigo’s fifth loss in its last six games to leave the team at 13th place with 10 points.

Valladolid first scored through Roque Mesa in the 32nd minute, before Oscar Rodriguez leveled the score for Celta Vigo in the 43rd minute.

In the second half, Valladolid showed their ruthless in front of goal, adding 3 more goals through Joaquín Fernández in the 62nd minute, and Sergio León, who had a double in the 75 and 79th minutes.

Jordi Masip, Valladolid’ goalkeeper, played a fantastic role tonight, as he saved 4 shoots including a penalty save, was executed by Celta Captain and penalties’ specialist, Iago Aspas.
