Brighton 0-0 Nottingham Forest: The visitors hold on for a goalless draw
By Maria Mark
The away Nottingham Forest supporters witnessed their club cling on for 90 minutes. But Steve Cooper’s players left with a point at the end of yet another exhausting evening.
It wasn’t attractive football match. After 58 minutes, Forest made their first contact with the ball inside the penalty area, but Brennan Johnson’s subsequent shot was so far away that it was returned for a throw-in.
However, Forest will accept this draw after putting up a strong defensive performance at Amex Stadium. With a total of 19 shots directed at Dean Henderson’s goal, Brighton was the dominant team. Yet they failed to capitalize on their chances to end the game without scoring for three games in row.
Now after 11 games in league, Forrest are currently in the 19th position with just six points, in contrary, Brighton are in the 7th position with 15 points out of 10 games, but roberto de Zerbi’s men yet to record a victory in the last four games, which is the whole tenure of the Italian head coach with the Premier League’s team.
