Huge blow for Liverpool as 45-million-euro star is out until world cup
Liverpool have received a huge blow as it appears that they are going to miss the Colombian winger, Luis Díaz, for 6 to 8 weeks, according to The Athletic.
Díaz will join the list of injuries in the English team, includes Robertson, Naby Keïta and Oxlade-Chamberlain, while there are concerns about the fitness of the right-back Alexander-Arnold, after being substituted in half time against arsenal
Díaz suffered the injury during yesterday’s game against Arsenal, which the team lost 3-2, with the Colombian winger forced to leave the pitch a few minutes before halftime and replaced by Roberto Firmino.
Díaz (25 years old) has played this season in 12 games in all competitions, providing 4 goals and assist 3.
Díaz joined Liverpool in January this year for 45 million euros, coming from Portuguese side, Porto, and the player proved his worth by being mainly in the Reds’ starting XI, as his absence is going to be a painful blow to manager Jurgen Klopp, who faces his worst spell with the English team after taking only 10 points from the first 8 games in the new premier league season.
