Liverpool manager believes that Fabinho has provided his best performance for the Reds this season during the team’s victory over Napoli on Tuesday evening in Champions League.

The defensive midfielder has not been at his best form this season, which has had an impact on Liverpool worst start at the Premier League since the 2014/15 season, also it is the worst start for the team under the German manager.

Liverpool have suffered from inconsistent results as well as many injuries that have deprived the team of key players in the first team for non-short periods during this season, such as Joel Matip, Andy Robertson, Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.

Klopp spoke at his press conference about the importance of Fabinho returning to form, speaking about the player’s performance in the last game.

“It’s good, it’s absolutely good. The game was a clear sign of Fabinho, how we know him,” the German told reporters. “It was a good game. We defended in all positions in a different level to the week before.

“It was good, it felt good. For him it was very important to realize it was possible as well. A good start in the right direction.”

Liverpool are facing Tottenham in match week 15 of the Premier League, and the Reds are aiming to return to the winning ways after suffering from two consecutive defeats against Nottingham Forest and Leeds United, but they are facing a difficult task on Sunday as they play away at Tottenham stadium against a tough opponent led by the Italian manager, Antonio Conte.
