Haaland could return for Fulham game

Guardiola said the Norwegian striker's foot injury is 'much better'

The return of Erling Haaland to the Manchester City squad was the biggest Topic for the reporters during manager Pep Guardiola’s press conference before the reigning champions facing Fulham in a game week 15 of the Premier League.

Haaland missed out on Man City’s last two games, having been substituted at half-time during the team’s game against Borussia Dortmund in Germany in the Champions League on October 25, to miss both matches against Leicester City and Sevilla due to a foot injury.

The Norwegian striker was in the training session with the team on Friday before Saturday’s game at the Etihad.

Guardiola said: ‘He’s much better. We will decide today [if he can play against Fulham].

‘It’s a good step, he starts to train, and we have training this afternoon and we will see.’

Asked what factors will be taken into consideration, Guardiola added: ‘Himself, his opinion, the doctor’s opinion. If it’s 90 minutes or less, we will see after training.’

Haaland has scored 22 goals in all competitions this season, scoring 17 in the league and 5 in the Champions League.
